For safety and health reasons, we recommend that pregnant women of the following descriptions should not travel by air:
(1) Women with pregnancy of 35 weeks or above
(2)Women who are expected to give birth within 4 weeks (inclusive)
(3) Women close to their expected date of childbirth and unable to obtain an exact approximation of the expected date; women who are pregnant with more than one baby; women with pregnancy complications
(4) Women who have given birth less than 7 days before their flights
(5) Women who are be diagnosed as unsuitable people for air travel by a doctor
1.Definition of Medical Conditions/Illnesses:
(1) A pre-existing medical condition;
(2) An unstable medical condition;
(3) A recent illness, injury, surgery or hospitalization;
(4) Intention to seek treatment overseas;
(5) An infectious, contagious or chronic disease
2.Medical Conditions/Illnesses that do not Require Medical Certificates:
Medical certificates are not required as long as passengers’ conditions are stable and passengers feel well.
(1) Paralysis /p>
(2) Motor Neurone Disease
(3) Multiple Sclerosis
(4) Parkinsonism
(5) Allergic to certain food
(6) Hypertension or hyperlipemia
(7) Diabetes
(8) Blood Disease e.g. Anemia (provided passengers do not need oxygen supply.)
(9) Epilepsy (only if you do not had a seizure within 24 hours prior to departure time of your flight)
(10) Arthritis
(11) Insect bites
(12) Minor injuries e.g. toe and finger injuries, twisted ankles, pulled muscles, small cuts
(13) Sunburn
(14) Hepatitis B or C
(15) Dengue fever
(16) Viral Meningitis
(17) Malaria
(18) Cholera – Medical certificates are not required when passengers’ symptoms have been resolved, or passengers feel well enough to travel and are allowed to travel by local public health authority of destination countries/areas.
(19) Hepatitis A - Medical certificates are not required when passengers feel well enough to travel.
(20) Shingles - Medical certificates are not required when the rash has no pus or start to fade away.
(21) Yellow Fever - Medical certificates are not required when passengers feel well enough to travel and are allowed to travel by local public health authority of destination countries/areas.
(22) Flu - Medical certificates are not required when passengers’ symptoms have resolved.
Medical certificate are not required, as long as medical conditions/illnesses has occurred over three (3) months prior to departure date of the flight and are stable, and passengers feel well (provided oxygen supply is not required during the flight). The medical conditions/illnesses are as below:
(1) Heart disease or angioplasty
(2)Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or Pulmonary Embolism (PE)
(3) Stroke (CVA) or head injury
(4) Surgery on the heart, chest or abdomen
(5) Joint replacement or amputation
3.Medical Conditions/Illnesses Required Medical Certificate:
Medical conditions/illnesses required medical certificates include but not limited to infectious, communicable and chronic diseases listed below. It also states the safe travel period.
Chicken Pox:5 days after the rash first appeared
Measles:5 days after the rash first appeared
Mumps:5 days after the swelling first appeared
Rubella:5 days after the rash first appeared
Tuberculosis:Medical certificate proves that the passenger is not infectious.
Whooping Cough:5 days after accepting antibiotic treatment or 3 weeks after the appearance of symptoms if not treated
Passengers with medical conditions/illnesses, including those required taking medicine or administering syringes onboard, are requested to contact us via our website or our call center at least 72 hours before departure date of the scheduled flight to make prior arrangement for special assistance required.
Lanmei Airlines may refuse carriage of any passenger or passenger’s baggage for safety reasons or in the exercise of its reasonable discretion upon following circumstances:
(1) In order to comply with any applicable laws, regulations or orders of any state or country to be flown from, into or through.
(2) Passengers are not fit for air travel because of his/her behavior, age, or mental or physical condition (excluding passengers with physical or mental disability as required by applicable laws); passengers who cause discomfort to other travellers; passengers who may cause harms to himself/herself or other people’s life and property
(3) Passengers fail to observe relevant regulations of Lanmei Airlines or government agencies, or disobey the arrangement and advice of Lanmei Airlines’ staff.
(4) Passengers refuse to accept personal scrutiny or baggage check.
(5) Passengers have not, according to the regulations, paid the applicable fares or taxes, or payment against acceptance to Lanmei Airlines.
(6) Passengers do not show passports, visas or other valid travel documents.
(7) Passengers may attempt to enter a country illegally in transit countries, or may destroy certificates during flights, or refuse to hand over travel documents or copies to flight crew for custody as required by regulations of Lanmei Airlines.
(8) Tickets are acquired unlawfully or purchased from an entity other than the issuing Carrier or its Authorized Agent, or have been reported as being lost or stolen, or are counterfeit tickets, or has been altered by anyone other than the Carrier or its Authorized Agent, or have been mutilated. Lanmei Airlines reserves the right to retain such tickets.
(9) The person presenting the ticket cannot prove that he is the person named in the ticket. Lanmei Airlines reserves the right to retain such tickets.
In the event that the passenger who is not fit for carriage or prohibited baggage was found during the flight, the carriage service department will deal with it in accordance to relevant regulations of “Lanmei Airlines’ Ground Service Guarantee Handbook”.
